COMPOSITION
Ferrous Ascorbate 100 mg + Folic Acid 1.5 mg + Zinc Sulphate 22.5 mg
DESCRIPTION
MQUFER-XT Tablet works by acting on megaloblastic bone marrow to produce a normoblastic marrow; inhibiting the herpes simplex virus growth; improving the iron deficiency and absorption of iron from the stomach.
HOW TO USE:
Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.

PRECAUTIONS:
Before you use MQUFER-XT, tell your doctor of your medical and health history including the following:
Active infections
Administration of folic acid alone is improper therapy for pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias in which vitamin B12 is deficient
Avoid alcohol consumption, especially if having alcoholic cirrhosis
Consult a doctor if you have hemosiderosis, haemolytic anemia or hemochromatosis
Do not take this medication if you are allergic to it
Folic acid in doses above 0.1 mg daily may obscure the diagnosis of pernicious anemia
Iron supplements allergy
Pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding
Risk of obscuring the diagnosis of pernicious anemia
Vitamin B12 is use to treat pernicious anemia

OVERDOSE:
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach/abdominal pain, severe vomiting, persistent diarrhea, a severe decrease in the amount of urine, or seizures.
STORAGE:
You should store MQUFER-XT Tablet away from light. Store the medicine away from the reach of children and pets.
MISSED DOSE:
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
NOTES:
Do not share this medication with others.This medication has been prescribed for your current condition only. Do not use it later for another infection. A different medication may be necessary in those cases.With prolonged treatment, laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., kidney and liver function, complete blood counts) should be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details.
